A minimalist table-setting for the win

A minimalist table-setting for the win

A few months back I was part of a fun project where I got to style and accessorize a photoshoot of two mock-up suites designed by Pariya Manafi of Naqsh Architecture, and her team. The suites are located in a renowned hotel and resort on the Palm Dubai, and the location, setting and creative scope felt like a dream come true.

Pariya envisioned a minimalist table setting for the island. Her idea was to use black chargers with acacia wooden plates and gold cutlery to complement and not detract from the serene color scheme. Together we settled on black Terrazzo dimple trays as chargers, white tableware with a Scandi-modern vibe as dishes and gold cutlery to finish. The result was an elegant table setting that was both warm and inviting.

Below are the two ways we styled the mock-up suites:

We used tableware from our Zakkia collection:

Mock-up 2

Mock- up 1

1. Large Terrazzo Dimple Tray - Black
2. Tab Bowl - White
3. Brushed Gold Cutlery - Set of 4
4. Raw Oversize Mug, White
5. Raw Bowl

After that, all that's left was to find some delicious food to fill those bowls with!
