Last year I had the pleasure of styling a residential shoot for Studio D04, with Natelee Cocks behind the lens. The subject was a single-family two-storey modern villa in Al Barsha South recently renovated by Studio D04.
Studio D04 is a boutique design studio founded in 2014 by Emirati architects Fatima Al Zaabi and Noora Al Awar. The duo's practice focuses on "producing designs that are niche in nature and unique, while leveraging indigenous elements and concepts to achieve progressive modern designs". Browsing through their portfolio, you will find an impressive list of achievements from architectural design, renovations, to interior design and product design.
Studio D04 completed the first phase of the renovation, revealing an elegant reinterpretation of a modern Arabic home with classic features like wainscotting; modern cabinetry; and herringbone floors to seal the deal.
Part 1 features the living room and the powder room on ground floor, and a study on the first floor. Accessories are from Emaan Home and the personal collection of Fatima and Noora. I hope you enjoy the tour!
